The Sonomicrometer (Length Master) - Model 300-102 is required
when ever
Sonomicrometer modules ( Model 300-201) are being used to measure soft tissue
dimensions. The Sonomicrometer is used to continuously monitor dimensions in the
heart, or across blood vessels or other organs. The Sonomicrometer requires
specific timing in order that it not interfere with the pulsed
Doppler, ARTT Volume
flowmeter, or Small
Vessel Transit Time Volume flowmeter.
The Sonomicrometer (Length) Master provides "length timing" for chassis
channels 3
thru 6. The front panel thumb-wheel switch controls the sonomicrometer
Calibration
pulse which is directed to channels 3 thru 6. The Calibration pulse can
be set to any
value between 0 and 100 microseconds. (The Calibration pulse should be
set to
'zero' when ever the Calibrator is not in use to eliminate the possibility of
interference
with the Doppler channels.)
The front panel rotary selector switch determines which channel is monitored on the
oscilloscope via the rear-panel connections. In this manner the performance of the
Sonomicrometer channels can be monitored.
