DYE-TRAK® microspheres
The Dye-Trak®  and Dye-Trak® VII+ microspheres provide a proven non-radioactive method of measuring regional blood flow.  These precisely dyed, highly uniform spheres are quantified by spectrophotometry. 
Recommended color order for Dye-Trak VII+ :
When using additional colors in an experiment, we recommend adding colors to the palette in the following order to minimize spill-over between colors.  The spheres can be injected into the subject in any color order
Using Process control: Yellow, Persimmon, Orange, Lemon, Tangerine, Berry (using Navy as the control color).
No Process Control:  Yellow, Persimmon, Navy, Orange, Lemon, Tangerine, Berry
We recommend only Cellosolve Acetate as a solvent for Dye-Trak VII+ microspheres.   Original Dye-Trak colors will work with either DMF or Cellosolve Acetate as a solvent.  
Free MS Excel software is available for inputing data from various spectrophotometers, doing color spill-over corrections and calculating blood flow  for each tissue sample of an experiment.  Variants of the software are available for different numbers of exerimental colors, with and without Process Control.  Contract Triton Technology for more information.
DYE-TRAK® is packaged in a concentration of 3 million microspheres (15um diameter) per ml of injectable saline solution containing 0.05%Tween 80 (surfactant) and 0.01% Thimerosal (bacteriostat).
Dye-Trak® is available in many custom microsphere sizes from 3 to 100µm.  Call with your specific requirements.

DYE-TRAK 'F'  FLUORESCENT microspheres
The Dye-Trak 'F' microspheres are now available in 4-color fluorescently dyed family.  Dye-Trak 'F' microspheres are precisely dyed, highly uniform spheres are quantified by fluorescence spectrophotometry.  Fluorecent colors are used with larger volumes of solvent for ease of use. Dye-Trak 'F' fluorescent colors have sharp, widely separated peaks and require no mathaticaly processing of the data.   A fifth fluorescent color, Navy, is available for use as a Process Control color to detect and correct for the loss of microspheres during tissue processing.   These colors are used with Cellosolve Acetate as a solvent.

FluoSpheres® fluorescent microspheres (Molecular Probes Packaging)
FluoSpheres® fluorescent microspheres provide a highly sensitivity tool for the measurement of regional blood flow quantified by fluorescence spectrofluorometry.
Each 10ml bottle with 10 micron beads contains 36 million spheres and each 10ml bottle with 15 micron beads contains 10 million spheres. The 20ml sizes contain 72 million and 20 million spheres respectively.  All spheres are suspended in a injectable  saline solution with .05%Tween 20 and .02% Thimerosal as a bacteriostat.
These products are covered by Triton Technology patents  5,230,343,  5,253,649 and pending, plus foreign patents issued and pending.   The dyes are covered by Molecular Probes patents 5,187,288 , 5,248,782 and pending.   FluoSpheres is a registered trademark of Molecular Probes, Inc.
